Local Lochness Area

Glen Rowan House is a riverside home set in the small tranquil and historical village of Lewiston within easy walking distance of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. Drumnadrochit and the surrounding area has many tourist attractions and activities.

Glen Rowan House sits near the foot of Glen Coiltie with the river running at the end of our large garden. Stay with us and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The Great Glen Walk/Cycleway passes on the opposite side of the riverbank. Walker and bikers are most welcome; we have secure storage for bikes and backpacks and can arrange a laundry/drying facility if required.

There are a good choice of restaurants close by, some of which offer a collection and drop-off service. We keep all the menus in the house and we'll happily make any reservations for you.

We can arrange many activities in the area including; horse riding, fishing, golf, shooting, boat trips and sight seeing trips.

We are in a most beautiful area even the winter months and we are only 50 minutes from Scotlands two best ski resorts, Aviemore and The Nevis Range. Who knows, if there is not snow at one, there may well be at the other. So come and see us for a sporting winter break
